FUTABASANKYO Co.,LTD (Saijo, Higashihiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture; Yasumoto Nitta, President) and Tsuneishi Holdings Inc., with which our laboratory is conducting joint research, has been selected for the 2023 Hiroshima Prefecture Subsidy Program for Promoting Environmental and Energy Industry Clustering, and has launched an industry-academia-government collaboration project.

FUTABASANKYO Co., Ltd. has been developing a business that accepts food residues, ferments them, and converts them into compost. The company intends to use this residue as feed for black soldier fly, efficiently raise BSF, and produce and utilize it as an alternative feed for aquaculture. Through the research of the BSF, we aim to build a new recycling-oriented model and realize a sustainable society.
